Indian tech entrepreneur revolutionizing rural education through AI-driven apps

Aditi Haria (born 1995) is an Indian tech innovator whose startup Simplilearn has transformed access to digital education across rural India. At age 24, she developed the first AI-powered learning platform tailored for low-bandwidth environments, enabling 1.2 million students in underserved areas to acquire tech certifications. Her SmartStudy app uses voice-activated lessons and solar-powered devices to reach 200,000+ learners without internet access.

Haria's breakthrough came with the 2020 launch of CodeRural, a gamified coding platform that increased female participation in STEM education by 300% in Bihar and Jharkhand states. Her partnership with UNESCO's Global Education Initiative expanded this model to 12 African countries. The World Bank cited her work as a model for the 'Digital Learning for All' initiative launched in 2022.
