Pioneering fintech leader empowering African SMEs through inclusive financial solutions

Bridget Ochi is a Nigerian fintech innovator and founder of Finclusion Group, a financial technology firm focused on providing banking services to unbanked populations and small businesses across Africa. Born in Lagos in 1985, she began her career in traditional banking before recognizing the systemic exclusion faced by 70% of Nigeria's population lacking formal financial access.

In 2015, she launched Fintech Africa, an ecosystem initiative connecting 200+ fintech startups with investors. Her flagship product Finc uses blockchain technology to create transparent supply chains for agricultural cooperatives, currently serving 500,000 farmers in West Africa. Ochi's work has reduced transaction costs for SMEs by 40% through her CrossBorderPay platform, processing $200M annually.

Her 2018 TEDx talk 'Reimagining Finance for Africa's Future' has been viewed over 2 million times. Ochi sits on the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council and was named 2020 Africa Business Leader of the Year by Forbes Africa.
