Nigerian environmental entrepreneur revolutionizing e-waste management in West Africa

Bridgitte Ogoo is a visionary Nigerian entrepreneur and environmental advocate whose work in e-waste management has made a significant impact across West Africa. Founding E-Waste Solutions Nigeria in 2019, she developed innovative recycling systems that transform discarded electronics into valuable raw materials. Her Zero Waste Initiative program has diverted over 500 tons of e-waste from landfills since 2020, creating jobs for 300+ youth in Lagos and Accra. Through partnerships with UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and Basel Convention, her modular recycling units now operate in 7 countries. Bridgitte's TEDx talk "From Trash to Treasure" (2021) inspired global replication of her circular economy models. She recently launched the TechYouth Academy to train 10,000 African students in sustainable tech practices by 2025.
