Carmen Loayza Gonzales (b.1993) is a Peruvian biologist and digital rights advocate whose Rainforest Voices platform has become a global tool for indigenous rights. Launching in 2021, her AI-driven system translates Quechua and Shipibo messages into 15 languages, amplifying rainforest defenders' voices. Her 2023 initiative Guardian Forest Network uses satellite monitoring to alert communities about illegal logging in real-time. Featured in TIME's 2022 Next Generation Leaders, she co-founded AmazonED, training 3,000+ youths in environmental tech. Her viral 2024 documentary "Echoes from the Canopy" spurred Peru's first Indigenous-led national park designation. Loayza's work is highlighted in Nature Sustainability and the UNDP's Indigenous Tech Report 2025.
