Esraa Abdel Fattah (born 1986) is an Egyptian activist renowned for her role in organizing some of the earliest protests that led to the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. As a young IT professional, she pioneered the use of Facebook to mobilize demonstrations through her 2008 'We Are All Khalid Said' group following police brutality. Her digital organizing techniques became a blueprint for Arab Spring movements across the region. Despite government crackdowns and imprisonment, she continued advocating for democratic reforms through platforms like her blog, emphasizing youth empowerment and transparency. Her work inspired countless activists and is studied in global digital activism courses. Recent initiatives include Citizen Platform, fostering civic engagement in MENA countries.
