Fink Nugōais (b.1978) leads grassroots resistance against illegal logging in the Pacific's last intact rainforests. As founder of Save Our Valley Alliance, he:

• Established community patrols documenting illegal timber operations
• Created 20,000+ acres of protected indigenous lands
• Developed sustainable sago palm farming alternatives

His innovative tactics combine traditional knowledge with drone surveillance technology. Despite assassination attempts in 2019, Nugōais continues protecting biodiversity hotspots home to 5% of Earth's species.
