Hind Debbiche

Pioneered online education access in North Africa through digital platforms

Hind Debbiche is a Tunisian tech entrepreneur and founder of Koora Online, a leading Arabic language e-learning platform. Born in 1985, she identified the lack of quality educational resources in Maghrebi countries and created a platform offering STEM courses from top universities. Her initiative provides affordable access to over 5,000 courses in Arabic, serving 2 million+ students across 20 Arab countries. Koora Online's partnership with MIT and Stanford (link) has made advanced education accessible to underserved regions.

Debbiche's 2018 launch of the 'Digital Literacy Initiative' taught coding skills to 50,000 youth in Tunisia's rural areas. Her TEDx Talk (link) highlights how technology can democratize education in post-revolution Tunisia. In 2021, she launched 'Koora for Girls', addressing the gender gap in tech education with 80% enrollment by female students.

Her 2022 book <《Bridging the Knowledge Divide》> explores digital inclusion strategies in MENA region. The platform's success led to partnerships with UNESCO and World Bank education programs. Debbiche's work has transformed access to higher education in Arabic-speaking countries, making her a key figure in North African digital transformation.
