Isabela Moll
Brazilian environmentalist leading South America's plastic reduction movement
Isabela Moll is an environmental advocate whose grassroots campaign led to Brazil's landmark Anti-Plastic Bag Law in 2020. Her impact includes:
- Organizing the 1 Million Signatures Petition with 1.2 million supporters
- Developing the Plastic Tracker app (available on Google Play) used by 500,000+ citizens to report illegal plastic use
- Inspiring similar legislation in 7 Latin American countries
Her partnership with WWF created the Amazon River Cleanup Project, removing 250 tons of plastic since 2018. Moll's documentary The Plastic Tide (streaming on Vimeo) won the 2021 Environmental Film Festival award. She recently launched the EcoBR network connecting 1,500+ local recycling cooperatives.
