Ethiopian edtech pioneer connecting rural students to global classrooms

Mulugeta Gebre's Knowledge Sharing Network, launched in 2020, has revolutionized education access in Ethiopia. His platform connects 150,000+ rural students with online tutors through low-cost solar-powered tablets. The 2022 Eneida Project partnered with UNESCO to provide STEM education to girls in conflict zones, achieving 92% graduation rates. Mulugeta developed the AI Mentor app in 2023, using machine learning to personalize learning paths for students in 14 local languages.

In 2024, his Global Classroom Exchange program established live video links between Ethiopian students and peers in 30 countries.
