Yemeni peace activist pioneering conflict resolution through women-led initiatives

Rasha Jarhum (Peace Bridges Initiative founder) revolutionized peacebuilding in Yemen's civil war by establishing the first women-led mediation network. This social entrepreneur created a grassroots model empowering 3,200+ female negotiators to resolve 580+ local conflicts between 2016-2022, documented by UNDP.

Her "Dialogue Circles" methodology combines traditional tribal customs with modern conflict resolution techniques. In 2020, Jarhum pioneered digital negotiation platforms during COVID-19 lockdowns, mediating 147 ceasefire agreements via Zoom - a model now studied by Harvard Humanitarian Institute.
