Jordanian edutech innovator bridging digital divides in MENA region

Reem Al-Fraihat is a Jordanian educator and founder of Code for Peace, a nonprofit training displaced youth in tech skills. Her initiative has trained over 10,000 Syrian refugees and Palestinian youth since 2018, with 75% of graduates securing tech jobs in Jordan and beyond. Al-Fraihat pioneered the "Mobile Learning Labs" concept - solar-powered classrooms on wheels that reach conflict zones in Syria and Yemen. Her platform's AI mentorship system won the 2022 World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer award.
