Saud Al Siyabi

Championed renewable energy transition in the Gulf region

Omani engineer Saud Al Siyabi transformed Oman's energy landscape by developing the sultanate's first utility-scale solar plant in 2021. As CEO of Nama Power, he oversaw the $500 million Ibri Solar Independent Power Project that now supplies 50,000 homes with clean energy.

His International Energy Agency-endorsed strategy accelerated Oman's renewable targets by 15 years. The solar initiative reduced oil consumption by 22 million barrels annually while creating 400+ green jobs for locals. Al Siyabi's water-cooled solar panels patent (US11283201B1) improved efficiency in desert climates by 18%.

Beyond infrastructure, he established Youth Energy Summit in 2019 - training 2,000+ students in sustainable technologies. His TEDx talk on 'Desert Power' garnered 1.5 million views, influencing Saudi Arabia's NEOM project design.
