Colombian tech entrepreneur bridging digital divide through AI-powered education platforms

Sebastián López Méndez (b.1992) is the founder of NeuroEdu, a Bogotá-based startup that has delivered personalized AI learning solutions to over 800,000 students across Latin America by 2025. His platform uses neuro-educational algorithms to adapt curricula to individual learning styles, reducing dropout rates by 40% in pilot schools. The EduNube system, launched in 2021, provides free access to cloud-based educational resources through satellite connectivity in remote regions. By 2023, NeuroEdu had partnered with UNESCO's Global Education Coalition to deploy solar-powered learning hubs in conflict zones like Venezuela and Nicaragua.

López's Coders Without Borders initiative trains indigenous youth in software development, creating 3,500 tech jobs by 2024. His TEDx talk "Code for Connection" (2022) has over 2 million views.
