Sizwe Nzima

A South African entrepreneur who revolutionized healthcare access through innovative delivery systems.

Born in the township of Khayelitsha, Sizwe Nzima founded Iyeza Express in 2013 to address the critical issue of medication access for chronic disease patients. Many South Africans faced long queues and transportation barriers to collect life-saving medications. Nzima’s solution? A bicycle courier service that delivers prescriptions directly to patients’ homes, reducing wait times and improving adherence to treatment.

Nzima’s innovation didn’t stop there. He integrated mobile technology to track deliveries and partnered with local clinics to streamline prescriptions. His work earned recognition from the Queen Elizabeth II through the Queen’s Young Leaders Award in 2016. Today, Iyeza Express serves thousands, proving that grassroots entrepreneurship can tackle systemic healthcare gaps.
