A Nigerian environmental activist leading community-based reforestation efforts in the Sahel region
Asha Kamila Abba (born 1985) is a pioneering environmentalist from northern Nigeria whose grassroots reforestation initiatives have transformed vast areas of the Sahel region. She developed the 'Women's Forest Clubs' program, empowering over 5000 women to become environmental leaders. Her 2020 book 《Sahel Renaissance》 details her strategies for ecological restoration.
