Blessing Okwuagwu

Nigerian edtech pioneer who revolutionized African education through accessible e-learning platforms

About Blessing Okwuagwu

Blessing Okwuagwu is a Nigerian entrepreneur and founder of Edusko, an innovative e-learning platform that has transformed educational access across Africa. Born in Lagos in 1989, she witnessed firsthand the challenges of traditional education systems during her own schooling. This experience drove her to create solutions for educational inequity.

In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Okwuagwu launched Edusko (https://edusko.com), which now serves over 500,000 students across 15 African countries. The platform provides affordable access to certified courses in tech, business, and STEM subjects through partnerships with universities like the University of Lagos and MIT OpenCourseWare.

Her work has been featured in Forbes Africa and recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer in 2023. Okwuagwu's vision extends beyond business - she created the 'Edusko Girls Scholarship' to empower 10,000 female students by 2025.
