Compare voiceover takes and edited speech
- Use the same spoken passage when you want to check an edited take or re-export. Choose the original and revised files, then start the comparison.
- Check pauses, duration and loudness. Align a delayed start before looking for cuts, inserted silence or level changes.
- Use the original and modified listening buttons to switch at the same point in a marked interval. Different performances will naturally have different timing, so do not use the score to identify the speaker.
What a voice comparison can tell you
For an original voiceover and an edited copy, a changed interval can help you find a removed breath or a muted passage. For two people saying the same sentence, the score only describes the recorded signals. It cannot decide who is speaking or whether a voice was cloned.
Is this a voice similarity analyzer?
It analyzes similarities and differences between voice recordings as audio signals. It does not use a speaker-recognition model, and cannot identify a speaker, detect a voice clone or authenticate a person.
Why does the same speaker receive a low similarity score?
Different words, pace, pauses, microphone position and room acoustics change the waveform. Even the same person repeating a sentence will not produce identical audio samples.
Can I compare a podcast before and after editing?
Yes. Compare the same passage in the source and edited export, align their starting points, and listen around changed intervals. The tool does not transcribe or summarize the speech.
