Indian tech entrepreneur empowering marginalized women through digital literacy programs

Sneha Titus is the founder of Digital Edge Foundation, an organization that has trained over 50,000 underprivileged women in India to become tech professionals since its 2015 inception. Growing up in a rural Kerala village without internet access, Titus understood the digital divide's impact. Her 'Code for Change' initiative provides free coding bootcamps, cloud computing certifications, and job placement support. The program's graduates now work for major tech firms like Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro. Titus pioneered India's first rural digital hubs in 2018, bringing high-speed internet and training centers to 120 villages. Her work inspired the Indian government's 2020 'Digital India Women' policy, which allocated $200 million for gender-focused tech education. A 2021 Forbes '30 Under 30' awardee, Titus also created the Coderati platform connecting global tech companies with Indian female developers. Her TEDx talk "Bridging the Global Digital Gender Gap" has over 2 million views. Current projects include AI-powered education tools and blockchain-based credential systems.
