Rajat Khare

Indian engineer whose drone networks revolutionized medical supply delivery during global health crises

Rajat Khare (b.1992) founded SkyReach Technologies in 2020 to address India's rural healthcare access challenges. His autonomous drone networks now deliver medical supplies to 800+ remote villages, transporting 2.5 million+ doses of vaccines during the pandemic. The system's AI-powered logistics platform reduced delivery times from 12 hours to 45 minutes in Uttar Pradesh.

Khare's 2023 invention, the "NanoMed Shuttle", a miniature drone for intra-hospital logistics, is used in 150+ Indian hospitals. His TED Talk "How Drones Are Saving Lives in Rural India" (2022) has 1.8M views. Partnering with WHO, he developed the first solar-powered drone charging stations in Ladakh. Recently awarded the Global Humanitarian Innovation Prize (2024), his work bridges aerospace engineering with public health infrastructure.
